United States Justice Department has announced $3 million on the allegedly Prolific Cyber Hacker who believed to be in Russia.
Evgeniy Mikhailovich Bogachev, had in charged with massive bank frauds and conspiracy. His pictures have been plastered on Wanted signs distributed by the FBI
Mr. Bogacheve is believed to be a ringleader of massive hack group who is allegedly involved in installing malicious software on victims computers to capture sensitive financial information including Bank Account Numbers, Names, Key Pins, passwords and amounts. Evgeniy Mikhailovich Bogachev, using the online monikers “lucky12345” and “slavik”, is wanted for his alleged involvement in a wide-ranging racketeering enterprise and scheme that installed, without authorization, malicious software known as “Zeus” on victims’ computers. The software was used to capture bank account numbers, passwords, personal identification numbers, and other information necessary to log into online banking accounts. While Bogachev knowingly acted in a role as an administrator, others involved in the scheme conspired to distribute spam and phishing emails, which contained links to compromised web sites.
despite the reward on arresting overseas hackers, it would become more difficult for the countries where there isn't any extradition treaty has been placed U.S and Russia.
According to a Kaspersky Labs report provided to the New York Times, more than 100 banks in 30 nations including U.S, Russia, Japan & Europe have been victim of Cyber Attack by group hacker since 2013 by the breach, with upwards of $1 Billion have been stolen in the process.
