Samsung Launched Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge at Mobile World Congress 2015, full features and Release

On Sunday, an event at Mobile World Congress at Barcelona, CEO Samsung CEO J.K. Shin while confirming all leaks, announced two variants of its flagship mobile series, Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge (the curved-edges variant).

The Galaxy S6 has a flat display, while the Galaxy S6 Edge has a dual-curved display that wraps around both the left and right sides.Corning's Gorilla Glass on both front and back. made of premium aircraft-grade metal, in a bid to reclaim its throne as undisputed global smartphone leader from Apple. The new phones are critical for Samsung's plans to reverse plunging smartphone revenues that led to its first annual earnings fall in three years in 2014. Apple surpassed Samsung as the world's biggest smartphone maker late last year, selling a record 74.5 million iPhones in the December quarter on the back of the success of its big-screen iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.

"These products are the result of a simple philosophy," Samsung CEO J.K. Shin said. "It comes to two words: Relentless innovation."

Design Features

The Galaxy S6 has a flat display, metal frame, and glass front and back panels. Whereas, its counterpart, the Galaxy S6 Edge, has all of the above, but have curves to the  both sides of its front and rear glass, giving it a distinctive character. The curved glass is similar to the curved display and glass Samsung utilized on the Note Edge, but it’s not as aggressive and is found on both sides of the phone instead of just the right. Needless to say, the S6 Edge is the far more interesting looking and feeling phone of the pair. The Edge design is an impressive effort by Samsung and the curved screen shows a bold attempt to redefine the way smartphones are designed and used.

Samsung is also touting the Galaxy S6's compatibility with a new mobile payments system it is preparing to launch in the United States and South Korea in the second half of this year, using the technology of recently acquired startup which uses either NFC or MFT (LoopPay) technology for transactions. At the event Samsung announced it is supporting consumer payments with the new Samsung Galaxy S6. Eligible consumers in the U.S. will be able to make secure Visa payments with Samsung Pay, Samsung’s new payment service scheduled to launch this summer.

The Galaxy S6 have two processors: one quad-core 2.1-GHz and one quad-core 1.5-GHz. In theory, this will allow it to handle more applications with greater precision. It will also offer 3GB RAM and storage options of 32, 64, or 128GB and come with Android 5.0 Lollipop ready to go.

Camera

The camera benefits from a 16-megapixel sensor and an F1.9 lens that’s also very quick to load. Just tap the home button twice and it launches almost immediately — in 0.7 seconds, according to Samsung. In one demo a video showing a couple sitting in front of a fountain at night almost looked like silhouettes on the iPhone 6 video, but they were clearly illuminated in the Galaxy S6 version.
